A large population base, young upwardly-mobile and affluent middle class, rapid urbanization and growing internet and smartphone penetration are among the many reasons for that.
Speaking on the on the topic “Insights on Retail Industry”, Mr. Kaushik Mukherjee, Head, Retail Operations & New Business, Easy Pick (Amrita Food), Kolkota enlightened the MBA students on the emerging business and career opportunities in the retail sector. His talk focused on how retail giants are harnessing advanced technology to uncover, leverage, and target their customer’s behaviors. By embedding consumer insights into their merchandising processes, retailers can boost both same-store sales and profitability. The session was effective in appraising students of the recent trends in the retail sector.
