MA – Economics

It is a two year classical Post Graduate Course in Economics, offered in affiliation with Bengaluru North University; for a duration of four Semesters. The course covers all major areas in Economics; Specializations in Econometrics, Karnataka Economy and Economy for Infrastructure are to be chosen in the second year of the course.


The broad objective of the course is to impart to the students, professional education and training in various aspects of Economic environment and provide them with opportunities to develop Economic Analytical skills in order to meet the challenges of the economy at National and Global levels.


The candidates who have passed the Bachelors / Master Degree Examination of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent there to and has secured not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology Courses shall be eligible for admission.

In case of SC/ST/ Cat-1 students and blind students the minimum percentage of marks required is 45%.
