Nursing is a profession within the healthcare sector with the objective of extending focused care to individuals, families and communities, so they will attain, maintain, or recover to optimal health and quality of life.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year degree programme, conducted in affiliation to Karnataka State Diploma In Nursing Examination Board, recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Karnataka Nursing Council, and approved by Government of Karnataka.

According to WHO (World Health Organization), Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well, and in all settings. It includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and care of ill, disabled and dying people.
