On 6th July 2019, a guest lecture was conducted for III Semester BBA students on the topic “Get Ready for Corporate Life”. The speakers for the session, Mr. Arvind S. Technical Support Associate – at – IBM, India Pvt.Ltd – Bangalore & Mr. Sanoj Kumar Process Associate at TCS Bangalore who are the alumni of Department of Business Administration IADC-A, introduced the students to the concept of corporate culture.
They illustrated how Business Acumen, Communication, Teamwork, Problem solving and Skill Set are important for getting into the corporate world. It is the art of influencing the employers. The corporate looks for a candidate who is ready to work out of comfort zone, Mr. Arvind S. & Mr. Sanoj Kumar also enlighten students on the fact that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Everyone understands the corporate but as a fresher what is expected is puzzlement, the speakers shared inputs on what is expected from a fresher and how they can progress in the interviews. A major takeaway for the students being that with effective communication and Positive attitude, employees can get their dream job and stay in the organization for a long tenure with promising career growth.
They recounted various experiences from their career and stressed on important principles to be followed to become a successful Corporate Personality. Overall it was a great learning experience for the participants.
